MOSCOW-- With the historic St Basil’s Cathedral and Kremlin walls as backdrops, the US Army Europe Band practices the grand finale along with bands and performers from 10 different countries, all participating in the Moscow Military Tattoo, also known as the “Spasskaya Tower” Festival. The USAREUR Band has been rehearsing on Red Square and perform throughout the festival scheduled thru September 4-8.

The United States Army Europe Band & Chorus, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Beth T.M. Steele, is stationed at Tompkins Barracks in Schwetzingen, Germany.  The Band was originally activated in 1940.  With its partner group, the United States Army Europe Soldiers' Chorus, it is currently the Army's third largest musical organization, the biggest outside of the United States, and the Army's premier musical ambassadors in Europe.  (U.S. Army photo – Richard Bumgardner, USAREUR Public Affairs Office)
